About

Hi! I’m Berlin.

I’m a Yoga & Movement teacher (RYT-500), a writer, breastfeeding counselor and birth doula. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management. In addition to teaching yoga and birth/lactation work, I have worked as a cook, bartender, farmer, baker, front-of-house manager, event coordinator, administrative assistant, and neurofeedback technician in a mental health practice. Holding space, working with my hands, and anticipating the needs of others have been a part of my work for years.

I believe the monumental experiences of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are transformative and deserve more reverence and ceremony than what our Western culture gives them. Having the slow, thorough, one-on-one support of a trusted woman and fellow mom who’s been through it all can be an essential piece of the preparation & healing processes.

Supporting women through birth, movement, and lactation feels, to me, like the perfect confluence of my hospitality and teaching skills, of spirituality and practical, hands-on support. I love cooking and caring for people. I love sharing my passion and knowledge of the body, birth, and movement. The combination of mindfulness, movement, breastfeeding support, cooking and sharing good food, is, to my mind, essential for pregnancy and postpartum healing and processing.

I love poetry, dogs, learning about anatomy, eating really good food, hiking, writing, and traveling. I live in Ellicott City, Maryland, with my husband and daughter.
