Yoga. Movement. Meditation.

“This is your body, your greatest gift, pregnant with wisdom you do not hear, grief you thought was forgotten, and joy you have never known.”

—Marion Woodman

I am a longtime yoga and movement practitioner and teacher. I have taught yoga to children, teens, college students, and adults; to inmates, to farmers, and to artists on retreat. I found yoga as a teenager and was drawn to the way the practice quelled my mind and offered me deep insight into my own workings & patterns. I earned my 200hr certification in 2014 at Happy Buddha Yoga in Goshen NY. In 2019, I completed my 500hr certification at Sadhana Center for Yoga and Meditation in Hudson NY. Through my involvement with the Sadhana Service Project, I also developed the first Yoga & Wellness volunteer program at a jail in Northern NY, where I taught yoga to the inmates once a week.

I strongly believe in giving students the agency to move & explore in ways that feel safe, intuitive, and illuminating for them. My classes go beyond just “stretching,” and incorporate strengthening techniques, somatic explorations, functional & intuitive movement, and invitations to connect with oneself on a deeper level. It is important to me that I, as a teacher, empower my students to listen deeply to their body’s own intelligence— to embody the practice their way, on any given day. I believe embodied movement & meditation are powerful tools that can help us learn to self-regulate and assist in working through trauma. I aim to help students cultivate a brave curiosity and awareness about their inner world, and to find joy & ease in their movement.

Private Yoga Sessions

Private yoga sessions are for anyone interested in working 1-on-1 to deepen their practice and receive customized postural, movement, breath and meditative guidance for navigating the physical/emotional moment they find themselves in.

Perhaps you are recovering from an injury, pregnant, or postpartum, and want to adapt your yoga practice accordingly.

Maybe you want more personal instruction to better understand the anatomy of certain postures, or the philosophy of yoga.

Perhaps you would like some instruction on connecting with the breath, and using it as a tool to ground and energize you throughout your day.

Maybe you are interested in meditation or yoga, but have no idea where to start!

Private yoga and meditation sessions are offered in-home or on Zoom.
