Breastfeeding Support

As beautiful and natural as breastfeeding is, it can take time and practice for the mother-baby dyad to adjust and learn each other. As someone who struggled with engorgement, oral ties, and other lactation challenges, I know firsthand how frustrating this adaptation can be, especially during the tender, early days of postpartum.

In addition to having breastfed my own daughter for 2 years (and counting!), I am completing lactation counseling certification through Childbirth International and attend local breastfeeding support groups regularly to stay up to date and gain as much experience as I can to best support moms.

Breastfeeding support can look like:

— meeting prenatally to learn about lactation

— early in-home or virtual postpartum visits to help with latching, positioning, and other common problems

—creating a return-to-work support plan

Lactation counseling sessions can be done virtually or in-person. Breastfeeding counseling sessions start at $50/hour.

No one turned away for lack of funds!
